Please
check appropriate boxes. We
are able to provide the following team leadership positions for our
project:
An qualified skilled House Captain – your house captain
must be from the construction industry, if not, RTSD will attempt to assign someone to your project
site. A representative from your organization will then be able to
serve as co-captain. (This is a requirement)
A Volunteer Coordinator - to coordinate non-skilled labor team (proof
of recent CPR & First-Aid training is required) – The
American Red Cross provides regularly scheduled classes at
minimal cost).
We will provide a volunteer team of 20-30 people. If your Organization/Company is unable to
fill any of these key House Team positions, Rebuilding
Together San Diego will attempt to provide qualified volunteers.
We would be interested in co-sponsoring a house and/or community project for a home and/or community center that requires considerable
repairs. Our company/organization is offering our skilled labor and our services as an in-kind donor. |
||
|
Please describe
the type of repairs that are best suited for your organization. Every effort will be made
to meet your site preference. Our
primary concern is matching the available skills to the work that
is needed. |
||
|
Light House |
A
LIGHT house may need scraping, painting
and/or cleaning. It may need
some weather-stripping or light repair work.
It can be staffed with unskilled volunteers and a handyman.
This type of site may require one weekend of prep work culminating
in the completion of the repairs on our Annual Event Day or during
our year round program. |
|
|
Medium House |
A
MEDIUM house requires a knowledgeable House Captain. It may need painting as well as carpentry,
the installation of a wheelchair ramp, electrical and plumbing work. It may require one or several skilled people.
This type of home may require two weekends of prep work culminating
in the completion of the repairs on our Annual Event Day or during
our year round program. |
|
|
Heavy House |
A
HEAVY house needs a substantial amount of work requiring several
skilled people. The House Captain
should be prepared for a major work-load. It will usually require an advanced crew of
skilled volunteers for two to three weekends of prep work culminating
in the completion of the repairs on our Annual Event Day or during
our year round program. |
